Si Organizations
An online community for applying systems innovation to rethink how we do organizations

So, what is it all about?
We are developing a network for systems innovation in the context of organizations. This is a community of practice for those interested in new approaches to management based upon systems thinking.
We are particularly interested in exploring new networked and adaptive ways of organizing that would be relevant for today's environment characterized by volatility, uncertainty, complexity and ambiguity
What is the Why?
Many have predicted the 21st century as the century of networks. Today, the reality of this transformation is becoming ever more tangible, as the operating environment conducive for this new kind of organization grows every day.
Today we find that many of the challenges organizations face are fundamentally complex. These kinds of challenges require new ways of thinking and new ways of organizing for which existing methods are lacking… something more holistic in approach is needed.

What will you be doing?
We are here to explore what it really means to apply the new ideas from systems and complexity thinking in the context of organizations - to rethink how we do management based upon a complexity paradigm. Working with a nonlinear approach we seek to better understand the design and management of decentralized organizations.
